The first question is what is loneliness? It is in our biology to feel lonely, a normal human emotion as we are wired to connect with others and have social interactions. Loneliness is the feeling when you need more. However, you can also be lonely while surrounded by others. The reality is not just the quantity of interactions we have but the quality of them.

Stigma, as defined by the Cambridge Dictionary, is a strong feeling of disapproval that most people in a society have about something, especially when it is unfair.
A stigma tends to come from miseducation or misinformation.

SAD is also known as ‘winter depression because the symptoms are usually more severe during winter. Some people with SAD may have symptoms during the summer and feel better during the winter.
4-6% of people suffer from SAD. Women are 10% more likely to suffer from SAD than men.
